| There is a big importance to deal with neighbor countries. Neighbors have good potential for cooperation due to geographicalproximity and lack of distance problems to achieve regional cooperation. The field of international relations is heavily influenced by cultural and identity factors. Therefore, gaining international reputation and influence in public opinion, in other words, access to soft power, are among the important goals of states diplomacy in international politics, which is commensurate with their position, each country's cultural opportunities, and capacities are pursued in a variety of ways and mechanisms. One of the Principles of Iran's foreign policy is having close relations with the Central Asian countries. It is important to strengthen cultural diplomacy with countries in the region because of having some shared culture with them. The Necessity of cultural exchange with central Asian countries is a command issued by president Rouhani, the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran. His foreign minister also emphasized on regionalism and cooperation with central Asian countries as a significant action. Due t reimposing US sanctions against Iran, the importance of the component of culture has become more pronounced following the US departure from in JCPOA in November 2018. The key question is how is the level of Iran's cultural relations with Central Asian countries in 2013-2019? Iran's cultural works in the Central Asian region have not been pursued seriously in the cultural field as language, customs, art, education, beliefs, food, attitudes … Iran has not used its cultural potential at a good level in the region so it needs to be pursued with greater potency. In this article, I analyze the level of these relationships by analyzing the most up-to-date data on Iran’s cultural activities in Central Asian countries. The research in this article is on the Qualitative-Quantitative method. |
